J. Dean O'Leary Law Offices

Kimberly,

This afternoon, I received an email from a gentleman in Long Beach, California. He wanted real estate legal advice on some property he owns in Tarrant and Dallas Counties. I thought this was a great benefit to the International structure of BNI. I'll be reviewing some documents for him. I asked him how he got my name, and he replied that he's a BNI member at www.socalbni.com and he found me on the local directory for this area, www.bnidfw.com.

Greg Hurst
Action Business Coaching of DFW

Mark,

“When I started my business, one thing was definite: I was going to join BNI. I had heard so much positive feedback from friends and colleagues that I knew it was for me. Little did I know that the hardest decision would be narrowing it down to *only one* BNI group. I visited several BNI groups in the area, all of which were tremendous! I finally decided to join Dynamic Referrals in Colleyville , Texas , but I wish I could have joined them all!

BNI has exceeded my highest expectations. It’s not simply a leads group, networking, or referral group. It’s like a family. I carry my membership list with me to every appointment during the week, just in case a colleague or client asks for a referral—or in case I see a need and suggest a referral. Having dozens of colleagues on my “BNI salesforce” is a great feeling. And it’s not just talk…it works!”

I hope this helps. It’s certainly something I fervently believe!

Stephanie Arwine
Liberty Lawn and Pest

Liberty Lawn and Pest is a small woman owned business. In 2006, we made the decision to begin actively working on the referral marketing side of our business. After looking at several different “leads” groups, we found BNI. Joining BNI is the best business decision we could have ever made. BNI has increased our business by 40% in 2006. I have no doubt that we can expect a similar growth in 2007. Anyone who wants to increase their referrals should run to a BNI group and take advantage of the learning and growing opportunities. Anyone who gets plugged in to the “givers – gain” mindset will benefit from this organization.

Angel Flight

Many people ask me why a nonprofit would join a BNI Chapter. The success of a charity, just like any business, depends upon developing high quality relationships built on mutual trust and respect, and BNI provides a proven method to establish great relationships quickly. BNI has been a significant factor in spreading the reach of my organization in the community. For example, The City of Addison wanted to organize their first charity run in 2006, with plans to turn it into an annual event. Last fall, they approached Angel Flight and asked if we would like to be the beneficiary of the first Resolution Run. The only catch was, we had to find 55 volunteers willing to show up at 5:30 on the first cold Saturday morning in January to help set up registration and staff the route. I never hesitated, knowing my BNI Chapter would be there to support me. Most of the Chapter turned out before dawn, with smiles on their faces, willing to pitch in. It was a tremendous factor in the success of this run, and the City has asked us to be the beneficiary again next year.

Z.E. Wotila
A- Sure Covering Roofing & Construction

Hi Chris,

Just an FYI testimony. I think our company (A- Sure Covering Roofing & Construction) just went over $100k in revenue collected this year directly from BNI referrals...and I joined in March. In fact, I don't believe we would have been able to stay in business this year without (1st the Lord's grace) and next my BNI buddies. So needless to say, I am a believer myself. I am trying to give back by winning the award for most given out referrals twice in the last 3-4 months and I talk BNI up almost daily to new potential members. Just thought I would add that to whom in may concern. Let's keep a good thing going!

My very best, Z.E. Wotila

Edward Morris, CSA
Munn & Morris Financial Advisors

Since joining BNI I have benefitted in a two-fold manner. I acquired a 401k plan that I would not have acquired any other way than my weekly meeting with the plan sponsor. Since I took over the plan, I have invested over 3 million dollars into the plan. Not bad!

I have never made a cold call since being in the investment business and I receive at least 1 new client a month.

For anyone in the investment business that does not want to cold call, BNI is the place to be!

Thanks!

James Sharp
Ebby Halliday Realtors

Shelli,

I have really counted on my BNI group members to help me grow my business. In 2004 I passed 345 referral slips to the different members of my group. These referrals turned into tens of thousands of dollars in revenue.

Not only that, but I doubled my production as a realtor last year and over 70% of my business in 2004 came from my BNI group and their referrals. So it does work!

Thanks for all you do!

Debbie Knox
Keller Williams Realty - DFW

Chris,

I added up my BNI sales tonight and I have a total of $859K for the year, so far! That's a total of 6 closed transactions. Also, I have 1 current BNI listing, have already met with another that needs to wait until the end of the month to list, and am hopeful that the 7 BNI buyer referrals will buy sometime in the next year. Not bad, huh! Thanks for YOUR referral! I enjoyed working with Craig Bull and his entire family! They are great people and the whole family is so proud of Craig. I miss visiting with them! I appreciate YOU for the referral! Let's do it again sometime!

Chris Smith
Plants at Work

When I first considered joining BNI (the North Texas Legal Resource Group), my only hesitation was the thought of sharing my valued customers with others. After all my good reputation is on the line in referring someone I know little about.

As I have attended the meetings over the past year and come to know the system, this is what I have learned:
Close contact networking is ALL about relationship building. The growth of my business is ALL about relationship building.

The weekly meeting schedule allows members to demonstrate their commitment to building relationships within the group. If is reasonably safe to assume that those individuals willing to build relationships within the group are willing to develop positive relationships with my customers.

The system has a way of "separating the wheat from the chafe".

If you can't make a meeting, find someone -- anyone --- to sit in for you. Your absence often speaks louder than your presence.

Shelli,

Thank you for selecting Greg and I to go on the Orlando trip.

We really enjoyed meeting Dr. Ivan Misner, and learning more about BNI. It was a nice break from our busy work schedule, and one that we probably would not have taken on our own. We used the Disney pass to go to Epcott Center for a day, which was fun.

We have enjoyed working with you to grow our BNI chapter in Austin, and the referrals it has generated for us and many others.

Best Regards,

Jennifer McNevin

I attended the BNI meeting for the first time last week and received two referrals and both have turned into business this week. Thanks BNI. I can’t wait to join. I have one person attending tomorrow as my guest. I have invited many others who may be attending in weeks to come. I think I may have found myself a BNI home.

I had a "one on one" DanceCard with Tracey Michaels of TeleCorp. She had set it up to where there entire sales force would be there. The presentation went very well. I hadn't been gone 5 minutes and I received a phone call asking me if I could meet one of the reps clients. By 6:30 that evening, I had a sale valued at $54,000. I had expected to see results from BNI, but not that quicklyJ

I also have a goal of being at 150% of quota by March 31st.

Talk to you soon Shelli.

Sam Moore
The Associated Press

Shelli,

When I registered for the networking classes with CNP, I admit that I came into it not expecting much. After all, with my position with the Associated Press, I have a finite group of clients. They all know me, and I honestly did not think I would learn anything that would be able to help me in my presentations. Luckily for me, I was wrong. First, I discovered that ways exist for me to use networking skills within subgroups of my client base. Second, during one of the classes, something was said that spurred my mind to come up with an idea for a specific presentation for a client - one which would hopefully result in a very big sale. The idea was a big success, and the sale now appears to be taking place right now. That same presentation I now have used with other clients with much success. The big lesson I learned: I don't know it all, and networking can really help, no matter what business you are in .

Glenn Bishop

Shelli and Cyndi,

This note is to confirm to you my Certified Networking testimonial, as discussed on the recent conference call. Please feel free to use as you see fit.

I learned many great concepts during my Certified Networker course, but perhaps the most valuable is the concept of 16 levels of referrals. I believe this concept is the most powerful took I have at my disposal to help me give better referrals, which will eventually have more referrals flowing my way as well. I have made a concerted effort to drive my referrals up the ladder to higher levels, and I wanted to share an example of the positive results from this effort. I have an personal acquaintance who is a business broker, and I happen to have a business financier, Clarke, in my BNI referral group. Rather than just passing on the name of the broker to Clarke (a level 1 referral), I decided to arrange a lunch meeting with the three of us as a point of introduction. By being a part of the initial meeting between the broker and Clarke, I was able to help them come to a greater understanding of mutual business opportunities than if they had just talked on their own. In fact, they were able to immediately begin to work on two deals together that could be very profitable for both of them. And we also discussed some ideas that may prove beneficial to my business down the road. This approach was consistent with a level 13 referral, and is proving to be of significantly more value to all concerned than the approach I would have taken prior to the class. This concept really allows me to take my networking to another level!

Regards,

Glenn

Good morning Shelli,

Just wanted to follow up on the recent referral of John the electrician for my sister in Carrollton, TX.

He did a great job, spent a lot of extra time and effort, and was extremely reasonable on his pricing, especially considering the time involved.

Please pass along my thanks, from a protective brother who lives far away.

Sincerely,

Hello Shelli!

I do not know if you remember me but I was a member of the BNI Lake Highlands Group--we spoke several times about design work.

I just wanted to send Kudos to the Lake Highlands Chapter.
I have since relocated back home to Houston and sadly I had to leave the group.

I gave continued to get qualified referrals from the group members and through the group I have developed some wonderful friendships.

I can't say enough about the positive, dynamic energy of the Lake Highlands Chapter--They are definitely a strong group and were a huge part of my
business' success.

Thank You Lake Highlands!

Jack Hosterman, Associate Vice President - Investments
Rushmore Investment Advisors

To: BNI Plano West Chapter

I have very good news and bad news. The good news is that I have been hired as the Associate Vice President - Investments for Rushmore Investment Advisors. The bad news is that I will no longer be able to be a member of BNI.

Thank you for all of the friendship and business you have given me over the last 12 months. I believe that more than 20% of my business was the direct result of your referrals and your personal confidence in me. If I had to do it all again, from our 7:00 am starts and a number of restaurant challenges, I would!

I will happily continue to refer business to each of you as the opportunities present themselves have become good friends with many of you and looked forward to the same with all of you. I am only a phone call away if there
is ever anything I can do to help you. When I get an opportunity I would like to visit the Tuesday luncheon as a guest.

Janet Furr
Birch Telecom

Shelli,

I feel that I am so lucky that I was invited to a BNI meeting one year ago. I have been involved with many different leads groups, but BNI is by far the best. We have the BALANCE of structure (our rules of conduct) and fun. You must have structure to insure that the time is well spent and members grow their customer base - balance that with fun and you get "people persons" who make it a treat to get together with every week.

I also network with BNI members from other chapters - even my competition. No telecom company offers every possible technical solution known to man and I would rather pass my customer along to a BNI friend that I know and trust, than to just tell my customer we cannot help him and that he is on his own. As a matter of fact.....I have lunch plans today with a member of another BNI chapter.

I went from middle of the pack here at Birch to the #1 Account Executive in the Fort Worth office, #2 in North Texas, and #13 in the entire company.

Thanks,
Janet Furr
